Loaves and FishSt. Jude's Food Pantry

Keeping the shelves stocked at the local emergency food pantry is an ongoing job and St. Jude's continues to collect items each week throughout the year.  The need now is very great, so please, leave your donations in the container marked in the church vestibule.

Food Ministry Need

Our Food Ministry is in dire need of brown paper grocery bags.  Every month we use quite a few grocery bags to deliver to the homebound.  Please save your used sacks and bring them to church.  There is a container in the vestibule of the church for food items and sacks.  Thank you so much!

Special Note from Cecelia Trueblood: Our food pantry is in need of food for homebound Owen County seniors. We especially need protein items such as canned meats, tuna, salmon, chicken, also chicken noodle soup, canned beef stew, peanut butter, etc. Thank you for any contribution you make. Monetary contributions may also be made.

Any questions call Cecelia at (317) 403-3960

Pray the Rosary

Each Sunday prior to 11:00 am Mass.  Start time is 10:15 a.m., parishioners are invited to pray the Rosary and Divine Mercy Chaplet for the needs and concerns of your community and the world.

The great spiritual gift given to us to meditate on the life, death, and resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ is the Rosary. Let’s combat the evils of today by using this gift often. Through prayer, fasting, and almsgiving we can make a difference.

All Saints Picture

All Saints Day - Mass on Tuesday at 6:00 p.m.

All Saints Day is a special feast day on which Catholics celebrate all the saints, known and unknown. While most saints have a particular feast day on the Catholic calendar (usually, though not always, the date of their death), not all of those feast days are observed. And saints who have not been canonized—those who are in Heaven, but whose sainthood is known only to God—have no particular feast day. In a special way, All Saints Day is their feast.

“Year of Mercy”

Extraordinary Year of Mercy" Let us receive the special grace of this moment. We pause in reverent silence before this empty tomb in order to rediscover the grandeur of our Christian vocation: we are men and women of resurrection, and not of death. From this place we learn how to live our lives, the trials of our Churches and of the whole world, in the light of Easter morning. Every injury, every one of our pains and sorrows, has been borne on the shoulders of the Good Shepherd who offered himself in sacrifice and thereby opened the way to eternal life. His open wounds are the cleft through which the torrent of his mercy is poured out upon the world. Let us not allow ourselves to be robbed of the basis of our hope! Let us not deprive the world of the joyful message of the resurrection! And let us not be deaf to the powerful summons to unity which rings out from this very place, in the words of the One who, risen from the dead, calls all of us "my brothers" (cf. Mt 28:10; Jn 20:17)."— Pope Francis

40 Days of Life

This past Thursday, the number of women going in for abortions was down significantly, praise God.

And just last evening, Saturday, October 22, a beautiful young couple stopped by at the Bloomington Planned Parenthood to thank all of the prayer warriors who were there praying... even bringing them some hot chocolate!

The young lady was in tears as she said, "Thank you for being out here. I&apo;ve seen people out here praying all of the time, and we just wanted to say thank you for that. You may not realize it, but your presence out here is touching so many people, and you give a voice to the voiceless!" Monica

Suzanne SullivanSuzanne Sullivan

Suzanne Sullivan wants the parish to know how much she appreciates the prayers that have been sent her way. There have been moments since her surgery that she has felt the power of your prayers especially helping when the pain was advanced. While she is at home, she has been busy using the “Crafters” extra yarn to make a blanket for her newest grandchild. Let’s keep Suzanne in our thoughts and prayers as she in return prays for us.
